4Great lightweight stroller
By Jayre
I bought the Bumbleride Flite as a stroller for travel for my 19 month old daughter. We also own the MacLaren Techno XLR which has very similar features, but is bulkier and weighs a few pounds more making it a bit difficult to travel with on planes, buses, etc. Since I now own both strollers, I'll provide a bit of a comparison:Stroller Fold- The Flite wins here. The fold is compact and the wheels don't sag like on the Techno XLR. This made it easy to stow the stroller in a variety of places (booths at restaurants, the back of a tourist trolley, etc.) It also made it easier to carry when in the folded position. It is taking me and my husband awhile to get the hang of the fold mechanism on the Flite. That is likely user error :)Overall Ride/ManeuverabilityThe Techno XLR is better here. The Flite does not have height adjustable handles which was a drawback between me (5'2) and my husband (6'2). The orientation of the stroller was fine for my taller husband, but the Techno XLR is slightly better. The Flite drives well, but the Techno XLR is smoother in general, especially when steering. Also, the video review of the Flite mentions the bar that pops out of place when walking - this is obnoxious, but from time to time, I did use the bar for one handed steering, so I guess that's okay.ComfortBoth are great, and no complaints from my daughter. The Flite is great because the back zips down to allow air to flow through the stroller. The Techno XLR doesn't do this. The canopy is good on both, but a bit bigger on the Techno XLR. The Flite doesn't sit as upright in the highest position as does the Techno XLR, but this didn't seem to bother my daughter. The strap adjust on the Flite is preferable to the two handed release on the Techno XLR. Both have carseat adapter bars, which means you don't have to buy a bulky travel system (yay!)StorageThe Flite comes with a cupholder, which is nice, but the Techno XLR has much better storage overall. The Flite's basket is small and has to be accessed from the front. Plus, if you accidentally leave anything in it when folding, watch out. My husband destroyed a snack trap in the process. I love the double pouch on the back of the Techno XLR, and really missed this on the Flite.StyleBoth are great, and the colors of the Bumbleride line are eye catching and fresh. We got a lot of stroller envy looks from other parents as we strolled around with the Flite. I'm a little concerned about the light aqua color of the lining, but it is machine washable, so I'm guessing it'll survive. If I Had it To Do Again....If I hadn't had the Techno XLR, I'd likely be very pleased with the BumbleRide Flite. There are a number of features that I like more about the Techno XLR, but they aren't deal breakers. In general, I think you would be very happy with either of these strollers and you wouldn't need to buy one of the heavier travel systems. My plan now is to keep the Flite in my car, and use the Techno XLR for our more frequent walks around the neighborhood.

5Best umbrella stroller ever!
By Elysium
This stroller is great! We actually got both this and the Maclaren Quest Sport and that one went right back to the store.Good things:1. It folds so easily. I love that all you do is squeeze the handles and it folds flat. It was easy enough to explain to the grandparents in one go.2. So small! Although it seems so roomy for our daughter, it folds up flat enough to keep in the backseat our Honda Insight at all times.3. So lightweight! I can carry this easily into a store while holding the diaper bag and my daughter in her car seat.4. Car seat attachment. I love that it came with this. Most strollers require you to buy this extra, but this one was right in the box. It is super easy to install the bar and our Chicco Keyfit 30 pops right in. And it is still really sturdy, even with that higher center of gravity.5. Comes with rain cover! At first I though I would never use this. I thought "If it is raining, we will stay indoors". Yeah, new mom wishes. Now I love that I didn't have to buy a separate cover for those windy, gross days.6. Reclines well. My daughter can lay almost flat in this. We started using it when she was about 3 months and with the infant insert, she fit perfectly. Now that she's older, she likes to sit up, and the back seems very sturdy as well.7. Great canopy. It covers so well. When she lays back, she is protected from everything.8. Good for tall people. I'm 5'11" and my husband is 6'2" and the handles are far enough back that we don't feel like we are slouching or kicking the back of the wheels.9. Great workmanship. The quality of this stroller is excellent. It really feels like a well-made product. The ride is smooth and it is very stable. I can tell this will hold up well until our daughter is out of the stroller stage.10. Washable seat. Need I say anymore? That sold me right there. Not so good things:1. You can't fold it up with the car seat attachment. I know this shouldn't be a big deal, but when I'm throwing it in the car on a cold day, it's a pain to take that bar off.2. Puny basket. But what can you expect from an umbrella stroller? I can fit a blanket in there, so that's not too bad.3. The cup holder is a little sad. I am happy it came with one, most don't, but it tends to tip. For a bottle or a bottle of water for mom, it is perfect. For coffee, a little risky.4. Doesn't stand after folding. This doesn't actually bother me, but I know a lot of people would prefer it stood up next to them. I could see that if I spent a lot of time waiting for a bus or something. Also, it is a two-handed fold, but since it is such an easy fold, I wouldn't worry too much about that. I can do it with the car seat on one arm. Or holding a screaming baby.Overall I am so glad we went with this stroller over the Maclaren. I did feel like I was taking a risk because I hadn't heard much about this brand before, but I'm glad I did. This is a great product and I could not be happier with this stroller. I know those $10 umbrella strollers in the stores are tempting, but this stroller will make your life so much easier. We do have a Bob Revolution we use outside on the trails, so I don't know how well this would work for long walks outdoors, but for short jaunts and indoor use, this is a great stroller. And the seagrass color is pretty awesome too.

5Excellent Stroller System
By Andrew
Goal:Our goal was to find a travel system that was functional, stylish and reasonably lightweight and run from infancy to a few years. After a few months of reading all the available reviews of this and other strollers, we purchased the Flite along with the separate carrycot. The Stroller:The stroller is well made and very light. It is very easy to assemble as is subsequent folding and opening. The included rain canopy is very nice, although we'll never be able to fold it back into its original bag. Attaching the carrycot is straightforward and works well as a pram. The stroller also comes with an accessory to allow it to take our car seat, the Chicco Keyfit 30. Once attached, a strap and buckle clipped onto the stroller's harness are used to secure the car seat; note, it is not the same clunk/click that the Chicco travel system has but it still works well.Use:Our first use of the stroller was as a pram for naps in the day and it worked very well. It has a small footprint, which is a plus and can move with you around the house when necessary. At three months, the little lady is still able to nap in it comfortably (~ 9 lb and 22 inches).Online reviews note that the upper crossbar may pop up during use, which it does, but as we are aware of it this is not much of a problem at all.The stroller is very easy to push/pull and it turns on a dime. When folded, it easily fits into the trunk (Ford Focus) with the carrycot and shopping - this is a really big plus. The storage area is not massive, but it will fit an over-the-shoulder diaper bag and is sufficient.Summary:Excellent value for the price and met all our needs with great functionality.Lightweight, looks great, very easy to operate and we look forward to using it for several years.Bumbleride did a nice job with this stroller.=========Update (May 11, 2011)After much further use, this stroller remains excellent.Continuing a point above, being so lightweight and easy to set up, it's a dream to take shopping. Case in point, the rear exit of one local shop had five steps, for which it was no problem to pick up the stroller and baby (~ 25 lbs) and carry it down by myself. No regrets at purchasing this stroller.
